MOSCOW, April 23 (Itar-Tass) — Prime Minister Vladimir Putin urged ministries and agencies to draft proposals on the use of pension savings in infrastructure projects.

“If my memory does not fail me, 4 trillion roubles will be saved up this year. Existing rules of using this money are such that do not allow them to be used effectively, including for absolutely safe long-term infrastructure projects,” Putin said at a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Economic Development on Monday, April 23.

He referred to the construction of pipelines and roads and other projects.
