“Construction is to be launched in May to complete it in four months, that is by the autumn. We shall decide with villagers where to build houses – at the previous or at another place. We shall build housing in line with social norms – 18 square metres per man.

“It’s necessary now to specify lists of those who suffered from the fire,” Kozhemyako said. He noted that special commissions, consisting of specialists from the regional ministries of social maintenance, finance and construction, start working in Tygda.

Besides, it is planned to pay every victim 10,000 roubles each. Payments will start on Monday.

As a result of the fire that took place on April 20, 120 people, including 28 children, have become homeless.

The head of the region requested all residents of the region who feel compassion for their fire-stricken compatriots to help them to live through this calamity. The regional government decided to transfer one-day pay to the aid fund of fire-stricken villagers. The similar decision was made by deputies of the regional legislative assembly.

Three field kitchens and two tents were set up in the village on Saturday to supply Tygda residents with hot meals.
