MOSCOW, April 20 (Itar-Tass) —— One person died and four needed medical aid in a fire in the village Tygda, Amur region, the Emergency Situations Ministry told Itar-Tass.

“Rescuers found one body on the fire scene. One person was taken to the hospital with burns. Three people were given medical aid on the spot. Most of them complained of heartache,” it said.

The fire situation has stabilized but the blaze is not put out. “According to the updated reports, 47 residential buildings and 18 auxiliary buildings burned down on six streets,” the ministry said.

Nearly 180 people were evacuated. “Their accommodation is being discussed. The homeless people gather near the village administration building. Five shelters will be provided to them,” the ministry said.

More than 100 people with 25 machines and three fire trains are putting out the blaze. The fire fighting force is enlarging.

Deputy Emergency Situations Minister Alexander Chupriyan has departed to the Amur region together with supervisors, firefighting specialists and psychologists.

Five aircraft are on standby in the Amur region. An Ilyushin Il-76 and a Beriyev Be-200 will fly from Novosibirsk and Chita in the case of complications.

The Ministry’s Crisis Management Center was informed about the Tygda fire on Friday noon. Judging by the preliminary reports, the fire broke out at an idle lumber yard and high winds of 12-20 meters per second carried the flame to other buildings.
