Fire in Tygda brought under control, none hurt

MOSCOW, April 20 (Itar-Tass) —— The fire in the village of Tygda in the Amur Region is brought under control.

The firemen managed to localize the blaze. The situation is under control. There is no fire spread, spokeswoman for the Emergencies Ministry's Far Eastern regional centre Olga Alkina told Itar-Tass.

Nobody was hurt.

Almost 180 people have been evacuated from the village.

Aircraft may be used to extinguish the blaze. An operational group is sent from Moscow, the Emergencies Ministry's information department reported.

There are more than a thousand houses in the village of about 3,500 people.

The fire has destroyed 46 houses and 19 household structures.
