IZHEVSK, April 20 (Itar-Tass) —— A Yak-42 plane on a flight to Moscow made an emergency landing at Izhevsk airport.
The plane flew out at seven o'clock and was on the Izhevsk-Domodedovo flight. Nobody was hurt. A reserve plane was being prepared, an Izhavia source said.
The emergency landing was caused by a technical malfunction, Izhavia reported in its official site.
The malfunction was discovered on Flight IZH-3301 to Moscow. The captain decided to return to the airport. The landing was safe.
According to the updated information, the reserve plane with the passengers aboard has left for Moscow. The flight was delayed for two hours and 15 minutes.
The Izhevsk airline was set up in 1944. At present, it is an open joint stock company with the 100 percent owned by the Republic of Udmurtia. Izhavia has five Yak-42s, three An-24s, three Tu-134s and an An-26.
