MOSCOW, April 17 (Itar-Tass) — Moscow’s Tverskoi court on Tuesday upheld the criminal case against deputy chairman of Vnesheconombank Anatoly Ballo. The court thereby turned down the defense’s petition.
Ballo is accused under Criminal Code Article 159, Part 4 /”fraud”/.
The investigator said Ballo, together with his accomplices, stole 14 million dollars in September 2008, which was part of the loan issued by Vnesheconombank to the Yevraziisky company /the water supply operator in southern Russia/ to purchase a 100-percent stake in the authorized capital of the Yugvodokanal company.
Last month, Ballo was released on a five-million rouble bail.
