Over 3,000 houses partially flooded in 6 regions

Forty-one settlements are hit by floods in 20 regions of Russia’s Central and Volga River federal districts

MOSCOW, April 16 (Itar-Tass) — Over 3,000 residential houses have been partially flooded in flashfloods in six Russian regions, a source from the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations’ information department told Tass on Monday.

. “All in all over 3,000 residential houses, in which almost 6,000 people including 508 children live, have been partially flooded,” the source said.

The source specified that over 1,300 people have been evacuated from their homes. “Only 112 of them are staying at temporary accommodation stations, while the rest stay at their relatives,” he said.

Besides, 32 household plots have been partially flooded. A school building was partially flooded in Mordova’s settlement of Nasakan-Potma, the source added.
