NIZHNI NOVGOROD, April 14 (Itar-Tass) —— The 5th international forum of information technologies IT-FORUM 2020 – Informatization of Our Life, to be held in Nizhni Novgorod on April 18-20, will gather about 2,000 participants from Russia and other countries.
As the chairman of the organizing committee, Deputy Governor Sergei Potapov, told the media this week, this year the forum’s format will be different from the customary exhibitions. It will present not brands, but specific IT solutions in this or that sphere of life.
“This is going to be the first forum in such a format. Guests and participants will be able to not only enjoy new products on display, but also familiarize themselves with electronic services and new IT-solutions,” Potapov said. For instance, in the Electronic Education area visitors will be able to get into a school classroom to see the process of instruction in real time mode. Such units of the exposition as Electronic Industry, Electronic Household, Electronic Culture and Electronic Medicine will be arranged in a similar fashion.
“The companies offering software solutions and hardware will be represented in several units, because they manufacture products for various spheres of application. The exhibition’s visitors and participants in the forum will first see this or that IT solution, and then learn the name if its author,” said the regional government’s Information Technologies, Communication and Mass Media Minister Sergei Kuchin.
“The IT forum is an excellent site for communication,” believes the operations manager of the Nizhni Novgorod office of Intel corporation, Darya Kiryanova. She said the corporation enjoys a feedback and is very active in establishing business contacts with foreign partners. The forum has enhanced the effectiveness of Intel’s cooperation with the best institutions of higher learning in Nizhni Novgorod – the State University and the Linguistic University.
