MINSK, April 14 (Itar-Tass) —— Belarus is prepared to let Chinese air carriers run Beijing-Minsk flights. China’s Ambassador to Belarus Gong Jianwei touched upon the theme of finding an opportunity for opening a direct air link between Belarus and China at Friday’s meeting with the top officials of the Belarussian Transport and Communications Ministry.
The ministry’s press-service has said the head of the aviation department, Vadim Melnik, said the fleet of the national air carrier Belavia had no long-haul liners. “However, we might be prepared to consider the possibility of Beijing-Minsk flights by Chinese air carriers. In case there is such an interest the required permission may be issued without delay,” he said.
