Woman injured in plane crash near Tyumen dies at hospital

She stayed in extremely severe condition all ten days

TYUMEN, April 12 (Itar-Tass) —— The death toll of the ATR-72 airplane crash outside Tyumen reached 32 people, as an injured woman Lyudmila Volkova died at regional clinical hospital number two overnight to Thursday.

“She stayed in extremely severe condition all ten days,” press secretary of the health care department in the Tyumen Region Tatiana Sitnikova told Itar-Tass on Thursday. “Sweeping concomitant wounds, the head injury caused her death,” she said.

Another five passengers of the crashed airplane remain at the intensive therapy ward of the hospital. They remain in stable grave condition. Three patients are undergoing treatment at the specific wards of the regional clinical hospital number two. The doctors noted that no one of them showed the negative dynamics for the past day. A survivor in the plane crash is undergoing treatment in Moscow, the Federal Centre of Traumatology and Orthopaedics. He is also estimated to stay in stable condition.

On April 2, the ATR-72 airliner of the YUTair Airlines en route from Tyumen to Surgut crashed right after the takeoff from the airport Roshchino. The airliner was carrying 39 passengers and four crewmembers. Some 31 people died instantaneously and 12 people survived.
