TSKHINVAL, April 9 (Itar-Tass) —— South Ossetian presidential candidate David Sanakoyev has announced that a new party will be established.
The candidate recognizes the results of the South Ossetian people's voting and Leonid Tibilov's victory, but does not intend to stay away from the political life, said the statement issued by Sanakoyev's team on Monday.
"We do not view the election results as a loss. We realize that 42.98 percent of our citizens want changes, want a new future for them. And we will establish a new political party for each of my voters to be heard by the new president," he noted in the statement.
The candidate also congratulated his opponent.
"I would like to congratulate Leonid Tibilov who gained, according to the data of the South Ossetian Central Election Commission, 53.74 percent of the votes, on the sure victory. This day is a new milestone in our state's history, and I am sure Leonid Kharitonovich will head our Republic with dignity," Sanakoyev said.
