TSKHINVAL, April 9 (Itar-Tass) —— David Sanakoyev admitted his defeat at the presidential elections in South Ossetia. He will not challenge the election results. “We found the election results true and congratulate Leonid Tibilov on victory in these elections,” Sanakoyev said.

He also congratulated all those, who were participating in the voting and congratulated the people of South Ossetia on the end to a long election campaign.

“Accept my congratulations, though the official election results will be made public on Monday,” Pliyeva told Tibilov at the CEC information centre, where the presidential candidate arrived.

The South Ossetian CEC made public the election results after 91% of votes were counted. “According to the results from 77 polling stations, Leonid Tibilov gained 53.67% of votes, David Sanakoyev – 42.99%,” Pliyeva noted.
