MOSCOW, April 8 (Itar-Tass) —— Federation Council member representing the Amur region Igor Rogachev died early on Saturday morning, Chairman of the Federation Council International Affairs Committee Mikhail Margelov told Itar-Tass on Sunday. Rogachev was a Committee member.
“Igor Alexeyevich started his active work at the Federation Council in 2005. Previously he was the Russian Ambassador to China. He contributed a lot to the development of parliamentary relations with the Asia Pacific region as an esteemed citizen and a professional,” Margelov said.
He presented condolences on behalf of the Federation Council International Affairs Committee and himself to the Rogachev family and residents of the pre-Amur region.
