ZARYA, Moscow region, April 6 (Itar-Tass) —— New regiment anti-aircraft missile systems S-400 ‘Triumf’ will be supplied to Primorye border districts this year, Air Defense Commander Maj. Gen. Viktor Gumennoy told reporters on Friday.
“We sent the first S-400 systems to the Moscow region. Two regiments of the newest anti-aircraft missile systems are already on combat duty,” he said.
“Air defense units will be armed with the Vityaz and S-500 systems by 2015. Our defense sector can do that in compliance with the state armament program. Under this program, the air defense units will be equipped with modern armaments and hardware at 15% by 2015 and no less than 70% by 2020,” the commander said.
