MOSCOW, April 6 (Itar-Tass) —— One fireman was shot by the owner of a burning cottage in Balashikha, Moscow region, the regional police told Itar-Tass.
“According to tentative reports, a fireman is injured. Doctors are examining him,” he said.
Chiefs of the Moscow regional police department will come to the incident place soon.
The regional emergency situations department told Itar-Tass earlier that the fire broke out in a two-story cottage in the Saltykovka neighborhood. “The cottage owner opened carbine fire to keep off firemen,” the source said. The house is ablaze.
The police said the man set the house on fire after his wife died. “He seems to be drunk,” the police added.
