Russia may vote for UN SC resolution on Syria, if there are no ultimatums

Russia will proceed from the Thou Shall not Harm principle, said Lavrov

BISHKEK, April 5 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia may vote for the UN Security Council’s resolution on Syria, if it contains no ultimatums, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said after talks with Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbayev.

“It would be not bad, if a consensus solution were produced that would help implement the Kofi Annan plan,” Lavrov said. “It remains to be seen. This does not depend entirely on us.”

“Russia will proceed from the Thou Shall not Harm principle,” Lavrov said. “Ultimatums will not help the process.”
