MOSCOW, April 4 (Itar-Tass) —— The Moscow Region Duma may discuss the nomination of Emergencies Minister Sergei Shoigu as regional governor on April 5.
This issue is not on tomorrow’s agenda yet. “This matter is not on the agenda. The agenda is available on the Duma’s website and there have been changes to it thus far,” the regional legislature’s spokesman Viktor Sokolov told Itar-Tass on Wednesday, April 4.
According to the agenda, its day on April 5 will begin with a report by incumbent Governor Boris Gromov on the results of the regional government’s work in 2011.
Earlier, President Dmitry Medvedev asked the regional Duma to consider the possibility of vesting Shoigu with the powers of regional governor.
