MOSCOW, April 3 (Itar-Tass) —— One of the ATR-72 plane crash survivors taken to a Moscow hospital is in grave condition, the Health and Social Development Ministry told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.
The patient was admitted by the Priorov Central Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics. “The doctors are trying to save his life,” the ministry said.
Eleven crash survivors are being treated at Tyumen hospitals. Three of them are on the critical list, and the condition of the others is serious.
The ATR-72 passenger jetliner of UTair headed for Surgut crashed near Tyumen at 5:44 a.m. on April 2. According to the latest reports, the crash killed 31 people.
The police have three theories of the crash, among them a piloting mistake, an equipment failure and or a mistake of air traffic controllers. Flight data recorders and other control instruments have been delivered to the Interstate Aviation Committee.
“Panoramic filming of the crash site has been done,” a Committee representative told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.he said. The Interstate Aviation Committee’s Technical Commission is working together with the Russian Interior Ministry.
