NOVO-OGARYOVO, April 3 (Itar-Tass) —— It is necessary to ensure social and political equality of genders in Russia, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin told members of the Russian Popular Front Coordination Council on Tuesday.
“We must ensure equality everywhere, in the social sector and in politics. Men and women must be paid equal salaries, and the observation of women’s rights must be controlled, in particular, by prosecutors,” he said.
In his words, the goal may be achieved through the State Duma with the support of United Russia and the Russian Popular Front.
