Boeing 787 Dreamliner makes stopover in Russia as world tour leg

Stopovers in Turkey and Spain are ahead, and the jetliner has been to Chile, Ireland and Azerbaijan

MOSCOW, April 3 (Itar-Tass) —— The newest commercial jetliner, Boeing 787 Dreamliner, came to Russia from Baku in a world tour on Tuesday, the Moscow Vnukovo Airport press service said.

Moscow is the fifth leg of the Boeing 787 jetliner’s world tour. It lands in five cities of South America, Central Asia, Russia and Europe. Stopovers in Turkey and Spain are ahead, and the jetliner has been to Chile, Ireland and Azerbaijan.

Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a long-range aircraft capable of transporting 210-230 passengers to the distance of 15,750 kilometers. Its commercial flights began only several months ago. Starting from late April a Boeing 787 will fly from Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport to Tokyo.

In all, Aeroflot – Russian Airlines and Boeing have signed an agreement on the delivery of 22 Dreamliners.
