MOSCOW, April 3 (Itar-Tass) —— The chief of Ryazan regional traffic police was detained on suspicion of bribe-taking, a source in local police told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.
“Alexander Alfosov was detained in his own office on suspicion of taking a big bribe,” the source said, not specifying the sum of the bribe.
Alfosov has been in office in Ryazan since 2011. Previously, he was head of a traffic police unit in the Moscow Region.
So far, there have been no official comments.
