One heavily injured in Tyumen crash taken by plane to Moscow

The patient is in a medical module under the care of accompanying Moscow doctors

MOSCOW, April 3 (Itar-Tass) —— An EMERCOM aircraft with a person heavily injured in the plane crash near Tyumen has left for Moscow, a source at the Russian Emergencies Ministry's information department told Itar-Tass.

The Ilyushin-76 plane flew out at 07:00 Moscow time. The patient is in a medical module under the care of accompanying Moscow doctors, the source said.

The injured person is in "stably heavy" condition.

Eleven crash survivors remain in hospitals in Tyumen. All are in grave condition.

The decision to take the injured person to Moscow was taken after a consultation of doctors.

Thirty one people died and twelve survived in the ATR-72-200 liner crash near Tyumen. The plane of the UTair airline, which was on a flight to Surgut, crashed at 07:50 local time (05:50 Moscow time) on Monday, after it took off from Tyumen's airport Roshchino.

The survivors are in hospitals. Two of them are in very grave condition.

According to the Tyumen Region' Governor Vladimir Yakushev, there are lists of the dead and the injured people. Five of them are residents of Yugra, two are from other Russian regions, and the rest are Tyumen residents, he said.

Mourning is declared in the region from April 4 to 6.
