The tourists and the accompanying friends and relatives were assisted through migration control and given medical support

NEW DELHI, April 1 (Itar-Tass) —— Two Russian tourists injured in the Indian Goa state were sent home by a special flight of the Emergency Situations Ministry on Sunday, Roman Vorobyov from the Russian consulate general in Mumbai told Itar-Tass.

Russian diplomats assisted the transportation of Ivanovo resident Mikhail Zhilov, who had sustained a spine injury, to the airport. “A representative of the consulate general accompanied Muscovite Yulia Nechayeva to the plane. The tourists and the accompanying friends and relatives were assisted through migration control and given medical support,” Vorobyov said.

Tens of thousands of Russians take vacations in Goa every year.
