RF govt to give RUR 5 bln of subsidies for fire-fighting machinery

The Federal Forestry Agency noted that in 2011 alone thanks to this subsidy 2,100 units of fire-fighting machinery were purchased

MOSCOW, March 29 (Itar-Tass) —— The Russian government will allocate five billion rubles of subsidies for the purchases of fire-fighting machinery to the regions in 2012, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov told officials of the companies that produce fire-fighting machinery during a visit to the exhibition before the opening of the all-Russian forum of workers of the forestry industry here on Thursday.

Head of the Federal Forestry Agency Viktor Maslyakov thanked the first deputy prime minister for the implementation of this program and noted that “those five billion rubles of subsidies, which were transferred to the regions in the previous year, gave a strong impetus to the development of production and technologies.”

Meanwhile, Zubkov noted that “amendments to the budget will be submitted in the State Duma soon and the same allocations will be made in 2012.” It is not ruled out that the same measure of support to the regions will remain in effect in 2013, he said.

The Federal Forestry Agency noted that in 2011 alone thanks to this subsidy 2,100 units of fire-fighting machinery were purchased.

Zubkov toured the exhibition of machinery for the forestry industry. The exposition has on display types of fire-fighting machinery, which were already bought in the regions and are used for fire-fighting and wood cutting.
