NOVOSIBIRSK, March 29 (Itar-Tass) — A water conduit breakdown, which occurred in Berdsk, Novisibirsk Region, on Wednesday night, has been rectified, an official in the press service of the regional center of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (RME) has told Itar-Tass.
The breakdown of the water-supply conduit, with pipe diameter being 300 mm, occurred at the intersection of Lenin and Pervomaiskaya (the First of May) streets. It left 407 occupants of 17 houses, among them 112 children, without cold water. The supply of water by water-tank trucks was arranged for them, and operations were carried out to connect a bypass up to the water supply network.
The damage control operations involved 14 specialists and six units of machinery.
