3 police officers wounded by unidentified assaulters in Dagestan

MAKHACHKALA, March 28 (Itar-Tass) —— Three policemen were wounded as a police unit came under gunfire in Russia’s North Caucasian republic of Dagestan, a police source told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.

According to the source, the incident took place near the administrative border between the Botlikhsky and Tsumadinsky districts at about 16:00 Moscow time. Two police officers were hospitalized and one received outpatient treatment.

An investigation is underway.
