KRASNODAR, March 28 (Itar-Tass) — The Krasnodar Territory Court on Wednesday will consider a criminal case against Kushchevskaya gang member Vyacheslav Ryabtsev. It is a plea bargain process.
Ryabtsev, nicknamed "Buba," is accused of crimes under six articles of the Russian Criminal Code: abetting the murders of three persons, several attempted murders and two robberies. Some 20 persons were recognized as injured parties.
The case against the gangster comprises 100 volumes. Ryabtsev pleaded guilty to all the crimes. According to the investigator, he was not directly involved in the murder of 12 people in the house of farm Ametov in Zelyonaya Street in the village of Kushchevskaya.
During the questionings, Ryabtsev said his role was to "supply means and tools of crime to the gang and conceal the signs of crime."
He provided three pistols with silencers to gang leader Tsapok which he had kept in a cache, and then put the guns back after the crime. Ryabtsev had also given his house to the gang members in which they had prepared for the crime. They returned to the house after the commission of the crime in order to wash themselves, change clothes and replace the license plates on the car.
Ryabtsev said he was willing to cooperate with the investigators and signed a plea bargain agreement. He testified about the circumstances of his joining the gang and all its members. He also knew how the attack on Akhmetov's house had been prepared.
"Ryabtsev has known much, as he was a trusted person in the Tsapok family," a specialist in the group of investigators told Itar-Tass.
He was a deputy director of the Centurion security firm, where most of the gang members were employed, and had a job in one of the companies controlled by the Tsapoks, and was director general of their Yug Agrotekhnika /South Agricultural Machinery/ limited liability company.
After the Kushchevskaya bloodbath, Vyacheslav Ryabsev, together with another suspect, Vladimir Alexeyev fled to Ukraine. They were detained in the town of Berdyansk.
On February 9, 2011, Ryabstev was extradited to Russia.
Overnight from November 4 to November 5, 2010, members of three families were brutally murdered in the village of Kushchevskaya. There were three girls, aged nine months, 18 months, and five years and a boy of 14 among the murdered people. Police said leader of the local gang Sergei Tsapok had masterminded the murder. Tsapok was later detained in the Rostov region.
