VLADIVOSTOK, March 28 (Itar-Tass) — The construction of all facilities intended for this year's summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum must be completed within the coming three months, Russian Minister of Regional Development Viktor Basargin told a conference here on Wednesday.

"It remains slightly more than five months before the start of the APEC summit. We must complete the construction of all summit faciilities within three months. This is a complex task and its accomplishment will require consolidated efforts," Basargin emphasized, pointing out that over 40,000 million roubles have been allocated from budgets of various levels for the construction of the summit facilities.

Speakers at the conference also pointed out that it would be necessary to ensure the return home of foreign workers engaged in the construction projects after they are completed. Almost 23,000 workers are currently engaged in building operations, with a half of them being foreign nationals, mainly Uzbeks, Tajiks, and Kyrgyz. The Regionla Development Minister assigned the Federal Migration Service to monitor the repatriation process.

The APEC summit will be held on the Russkiy (Russian) Island in Vladivostok early in September. New roads, bridges, and infrastructure facilities are being built here for that large-scale event -- more than 40 facilties, all in all. Thirty-two out of them are already completed. The most complex ones -- bridges across Bosporus Eastst and Zolotoy Rog (Golden Horn) Bay -- are to be commissioned in summer.
