NIZHNY NOVGOROD, March 27 (Itar-Tass) — Specialists with a sniffer dog at Nizhny Novgorod airport have been checking a plane on board of which a bomb was allegedly planted, according to one of the passengers.
Press secretary for the International Airport of Nizhny Novgorod Olga Ladeishchikova told Itar-Tass that at 20:38 MSK a plane of the J-7 airline with 90 passengers and 6 crewmembers on board arrived from Moscow’s Domodedovo airport to Nizhny Novgorod.
“When the passengers were getting out of the plane, one of the flight attendants heard one of the passengers allegedly say “fire in the hole.” “The information varies, but the conversation was about the possibility of an explosion,” the press secretary specified.
According to the instructions, the flight attendant called the relevant emergencies services, and fire fighting brigades, vehicles of the regional centre of disaster medicine, sappers urgently arrived at the airport. Specialists with a sniffer dog arrived the last and boarded the plane at 23:00 MSK and began to check all of its compartments for the presence of an explosive device.
The plane was to depart on the route back at 21:30 MSK, but the flight was delayed and the airliner is still at Nizhny Novgorod airport until the check is completed and the flight safety is confirmed.
