Rasmussen says he hopes to meet Vladimir Putin shortly

There is no consent on all issues, the NATO Secretary General said

MOSCOW, March 26 (Itar-Tass) — NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said he hoped that he would meet with Russian president-elect Vladimir Putin shortly.

Speaking at a video conference between Moscow and Brussels on Monday, Rasmussen said he would agreed with Putin on the soonest meeting.

There is no consent on all issues, the NATO Secretary General said. At the same time, he added that the Alliance was ready for a dialogue with Russia.

He recalled that the foreign ministers would meet in Brussels in several weeks within the Russia-NATO Council.
