Police detain robbers who stole 4,5 mln roubles from ATM

The detainees are being checked for involvement in other similar crimes

MOSCOW, March 23 (Itar-Tass) — Operatives of the police criminal investigation department jointly with traffic police officers detained in western Moscow on Thursday four men who stole 4.5 million roubles from an automatic teller machine in the Pyaterochka store,” the press service of the Moscow police told Itar-Tass on Friday.

The press service said that unknown masked men on the night to Friday entered the Pyaterochka store, located in Pokryshkin Street, opened the ATM using set of tools and stole 4.5 million roubles. According to eyewitnesses of the robbery, the robbers disappeared from the scene in a Volvo car.

“During the search for the criminals the car of the suspects was found and detained at the intersection of Ryabinovaya and General Dorokhov Streets. Operatives detained four men who were in the car and found the stolen money, two pneumatic pistols and small tools,” the police specified.

The detainees are being checked for involvement in other similar crimes.
