MOSCOW, March 23 (Itar-Tass) —— Former Russian Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin who was fired for refusal to work in the future government of Dmitry Medvedev said on Thursday he was ready to cooperate with billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov who is creating a new liberal party in Russia.
“Today I had a meeting with Mikhail Prokhorov. The fund I am creating will cooperate with Prokhorov’s party in concrete issues,” Kudrin said in Twitter.
Kudrin is planning to create a fund of support to regional initiatives, while Prokhorov, who came third in the Russian presidential race, announced a contest to select regional leaders of his party which he plans to create in three-four months.
Prokhorov said he wants a “progressive party of active and free people” who are not indifferent to the future of the country.
