MOSCOW, March 22 (Itar-Tass) — Russia praises the efforts taken by the Bahraini leadership to stabilise the internal situation in the country, the Foreign Ministry reported on Thursday.
Commenting on the March 20 final report by the National Commission dealing with the implementation of the recommendations on the results of the investigation of the events in February-March 2011, the ministry said the document noted progress in carrying out the recommendations in the fields of legislation, human rights, structural security and judicial reforms.
“Russia gave a positive assessment to the Bahraini leadership’s efforts to stabilise the internal situation in the country. We praise a national dialogue as an effective instrument to settle the existing problems in the society,” the ministry said.
Moscow hopes, “Bahrain will continue the policy towards carrying out reforms in the political, legislative, social and economic spheres”, the ministry said.
“Only the non-use of violence and the constructive exchange of views between all political forces and without foreign interference can guarantee the ongoing development of Bahrain, its security and sovereignty,” the ministry said.
