DONETSK, March 22 (Itar-Tass) — Two people were killed and another two were injured in an armed attack on a military unit in Kharkov on Thursday morning. The bandits were seeking to seize the weapons being stored in the military unit.
The incident occurred at about four hours in the morning, chief of the public relations department of the regional police department Larisa Volkova told reporters on Thursday. Two bandits, who are being identified, broke into the military unit in order to seize weapons. They killed a watchman, another two servicemen, including the chief of the guard, were injured and hospitalized. The doctors estimated that they are in satisfactory condition.
An attacker was killed at the murder scene, the second one was detained and is being interrogated at the Dzerzhinsky district police station. The criminal case was opened over the armed attack.
