GORNO-ALTAISK, March 22 (Itar-Tass) - - The first congress of Yakutia’s engineers has begun its work in Yakutsk on Thursday. Some 400 delegates and guests take part in it.
The congress’ participants will discuss such pressing topics as the intensification of invention and rationalization, as well as the creation of an institution of protection of intellectual property, the department of press service of the republic’s president and government reported.
The forum will sum up the results of the contest “Best Engineer” of Yakutia. On the results of the congress, a high engineer council of Yakutia, which will be a public organization of experts, will be elected.
President of the republic Yegor Borisov greeted the forum participants. According to him, the availability of Yakutia’s own raw materials and energy basis, development of its transport infrastructure in combination with stably growing demand enable the region to implement a number of investment projects. In these conditions, engineer professions of highly skilled labor acquire fundamental importance.
