MOSCOW, March 21 (Itar-Tass) — Russia may form a cyber command, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said at a meeting with representatives of military science here on Wednesday.

“We are discussing the creation of a cyber command. This is linked with the information security in the Armed Forces and the whole state infrastructure in general,” he noted.

Russia is going along the path of NATO, where the cyber command exists, Rogozin noted. “The United States and NATO make major allocations for these purposes,” he added.

Meanwhile, the deputy prime minister noted that the bill for the creation of a fund of promising defence research, the so-called ‘Russian DARPA’, was submitted to Prime Minister and President Elect Vladimir Putin and is being elaborated. “Soon it will be finalized, submitted to the presidential staff, and we will submit it in the parliament by the president. I hope that it will be the shortest way to go from submitting the document in the State Duma to the creation of this fund,” Rogozin underlined.
