Seven tank-cars go off track in Primorsky Territory Wed

VLADIVOSTOK, March 21 (Itar-Tass) — Seven tank-cars with oil went off the track at Ruzhino Station in Primorsky (maritime) Territory (PT) on Wednesday morning. According to preliminary information, the tank-cars did not overturn and there was no spillout of oil, and no ignition. Noone was hurt in the incident. Four pylons of the trolley-wire system were damaged, an official in the press service of the Russian Ministry for Emergenices (RME) center for PT has told Itar-Tass.

Shunting operations have been hampered and traffic suspended. Damage control work is under way. The operational group of the RME PT center and a commission led by Far Eastern Railway Director Mikhail Zaichenko are on their way to the scene of the incident. .

The incident did not affect schedules of traffic via the Trans-Siberian Mainline Railway. The incident was caused tentatively by a fracture of the lateral bogie frame that was manufactured at the Ukranian plant AzovElectroStal in 2010.
