KIEV, March 20 (Itar-Tass) — The Ukrainian Health Ministry warned imprisoned Yulia Timoshenko on Tuesday that she is personally responsible for her worsening health because she has been rejecting treatment recommended by highly qualified Ukrainian doctors, the Ukrainian penitentiary service said.
Last week the European Human Rights court recommended that the Ukrainian authorities should organize medical treatment of Yulia Timoshenko imprisoned in Kachanovskaya colony near Kharkov at a special medical establishment. Earlier, Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka had promised that Timoshenko would undergo therapy away from prison if necessary.
Meanwhile, Timoshenko's supporters said her condition sharply worsened because of problems connected with her vertebrae since Timoshenko was first put into custody last August. She cannot move on her own, Timoshenko's supporters claimed.
