MOSCOW, March 19 (Itar-Tass) —— Kazakhstan’s President Nursutan Nazarbayev congratulated Russian people on the successful holding of the parliamentary and presidential elections, expressing particular gratitude to the incumbent head of the Russian state, Dmitry Medvedev, for “a patriotic stand”.
Addressing the EurAsEC summit, Nazarbayev remarked that the summit is held shortly after the election in Russia. “I laud the choice of the Russian people,” he said. “It is thanks to your patriotic stand as statesman that such a balance of forces resulted in Russia,” Nazarbayev said, addressing Medvedev. Kazakhstan’s president assured his Russian counterpart of his sincere respect whatever post Medvedev would hold. “We have become friends,” Nazarbayev said. He said he respects Medvedev “for sincerity and quest for compromise.” He also thanked the Russian leader for active participation in integration processes in the post-Soviet space.
“We have much to do,” Medvedev holds. He thanked Nazarbayev for kind words addresses to him.
