MOSCOW, March 19 (Itar-Tass) — Russian President Dmitry Medvedev called for discussing the EurAsEC reorganisation.

Opening the meeting on Monday, Medvedev said, “The key point of the agenda is to implement the agreements of the previous summit of December 19, 2011 on the EurAsEC reorganisation.”

He recalled, “When discussions on this issue began, there were opinions to wind up the EurAsEC.” At the same time, he said the summiteers agreed that decisions “should be taken in a civilised way”. Thus, the Eurasian Economic Commission has started working in February, the Russian leader added.

“At today’s meeting we will discuss the development of integration processes on the post-Soviet space,” Medvedev said.

He thanked his colleagues for arriving in Moscow. “Today we will work in a full-fledged format,” the Russian president added.
