MAKHACHKALA, March 17 (Itar-Tass) —— A resident of the city of Kaspiisk, who offered armed resistance, was injured and detained in Dagestan.
As ITAR-TASS learnt at the Interior Ministry for Dagestan, police officers tried to stop a VAZ-21-7 car for a check at the 13th kilometer of the Makhachkala-Kaspiisk motor road at about 00.10 Moscow time on Saturday. The car driver opened fire at policemen and then tried to escape.”
According to the ministry, there are no victims among the policemen.
The criminal was injured in the neck and taken to a hospital.
A Makarov pistol was found at the site of the incident.
Criminal proceedings were instituted.
