MOSCOW, March 16 (Itar-Tass) —— Moscow is indignant at the Waffen SS veterans’ march in Riga and urges the international community to give an appropriate evaluation to this event, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
“A flagrant attempt to review the truth about the Nazi atrocities and the rulings of the Nuremberg Tribunal, which convicted SS members, cause indignation. We think that the connivance of the Latvian authorities with the former legionnaires and the wish to rewrite history must be evaluated appropriately by the international community,” the ministry said.
