“This is not just reclassification, most policemen will be fired. Probably after the detailed inspection someone will be reinstated at his post, but still all are fired,” the chief press officer said.

Nizhelskaya added 81 policemen were in the staff of the Dalniy police station. Four of them, who are the defendants in the raping case of detainee Nazarov, are under arrest, the fate of the fifth one will be determined by the court. The former deputy chief of the Gagarinsky police station Almaz Sadykov works as acting chief of the police station.

According to the chief of the information department, the Dalniy police station is about to be renamed, after it became notorious in the whole country.

On March 9, Sergei Nazarov with six convictions was brought to the Dalniy police station in Kazan. On the same evening after stomach ache complaints the ambulance was called to the detainee and a painkilling injection was made to him. In the afternoon on March 10 Nazarov had stomach ache complaints again. The ambulance hospitalized him with a breaking rectum diagnosis.

At the moment of the detention he was not drunk, and before the surgery he managed to say that the policemen tortured him with a champagne bottle at the Dalniy police station, Nazarov’s relatives said.

The Privolzhsky District Court of Kazan ruled to arrest four former officers of the Dalniy police station on March 13. They were charged with abuse of power with the use of violence and deliberate heavy bodily damage to the health with tortures.
