MOSCOW, March 15 (Itar-Tass) —— A NATO base will not be in Ulyanovsk, Russia’s Dputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin wrote in his Twitter micro blog on Thursday.
“A NATO base is not and will not be in Ulyanovsk,” he wrote expressing bewilderment from statements from some officials who had confused the society.
Earlier, Russia’s Foreign Ministry also explained that a transit station would be organised in Ulyanovsk for transportation of cargo from Afghanistan.
“Presence of NATO’s personnel is not planned,” the ministry’s spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said.
