LONDON, March 14 (Itar-Tass) — CEO of Russia’s Railroads Company /RZD/ Vladimir Yakunin is sure that the plan to continue a railroad from Russia to the United States via Kamchatka may be implemented in not far future.
“I am sure that continuing a railroad to Kamchatka and further on, via a tunnel, for connecting it with North American roads is a project, which is doable in not far future,” he told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
Yakunin participates in a meeting with the UK’s Guild of Travel and Tourism, where this topic was raised.
