MOSCOW, March 14 (Itar-Tass) — Kremlin hosts a gala ceremony on Wednesday to celebrate the jubilee of Naina Yeltsin.
All the members of the Yeltsins' big family, including two daughters, three granddaughters, four grandsons, three great grandsons and a great granddaughter, will come to the Kremlin on the occasion. Prominent political and public figures, who were Boris Yeltsin's supporters and worked side-by-side with Boris Yeltsin for many years and became close friends of the family, were also invited to the gala celebrations of Naina Yeltsin's jubilee.
Outgoing President Medvedev and Prime Minister and President-elect Vladimir Putin, who have already sent their messages of greetings to Naina Yeltsin, will come to honor Naina Yeltsin on the occasion of her jubilee.
Naina Iosifovna was born in a village in the Urals in the Orenburg region to a family of devoted religious believers who raised their six children following austere traditions.
Upon graduation from school Naina Iosifovna studied at Urals Polytechnic Institute and graduated as an engineer in the construction industry. In 1956 Naina returned to Sverdlovsk and began her professional career, starting from the position of a senior engineer from which she was promoted to the position of Chief of an expert team.
Naina Yeltsin got acquainted with Boris Yeltsin during her student years. Their marriage was a success, the couple were happy together for more than 50 years, during which Naina Yeltsin had always been by her husband, enjoying both happy days and going through hardships with her husband.
Niana Yeltsin has never thought of herself as the "First Lady", but was, above all, a good wife, mother and grandmother. "I can sacrifice anything for the sake of my husband, children and grandchildren," Naina Yeltsin used to say, adding she enjoyed doing things pleasant to people she loved.
