Five children have been hospitalized after a fire that broke out in Moscow Region

MOSCOW, March 14 (Itar-Tass) — Five children have been hospitalized after a fire that broke out in Moscow Region. The fate of another two children is unknown so far, an official in the press service of the regional center of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (RME) has told Itar-Tass.

The fire broke out in Nefyodovo Village, Serpukhov District, on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday. A house, in which two families lived, caught fire. The house was completely in flame by the time firemen arrived there.

"Three adults and five children were evacuated from the house. One victim was broght to a hospital in Serpukhov. The five chidlren are now in Hospital 7 where they undergo medical examination," the RMEofficial pointed out..

The fire has been localized. "However,according to the victims, two children aged five and twelve are believed to be inside the burnt house," the RME official added.

The firemen are busy clearing up the rubble at the site of the burnt-down house.
