BERLIN, March 13 (Itar-Tass) —— The German government will assign up to 20 million euros this year for Russia’s further disposal of chemical weapons, the German Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
The money will be spent on buying German-made equipment for the Russian chemical arms disposal site in Kizner, Udmurtia.
Russia, which has the largest stock of chemical warfare gases together with the United States, intends to complete the disposal process by the end of 2015. Germany has assigned over 340 million euros for the project in the past decade.
