Medvedev calls for involving business community in anti-corruption struggle

The proposal was made in the national anti-corruption plan for 2012-2013 approved by the chief of state on Tuesday

MOSCOW, March 13 (Itar-Tass) —— President Dmitry Medvedev has called for involving the business community in the anti-corruption struggle. The proposal was made in the national anti-corruption plan for 2012-2013 approved by the chief of state on Tuesday.

The plan binds the Economic Development Ministry “to intensify the interaction between the business community and state power bodies in the suppression of corruption, including the drafting of an anti-corruption charter of Russian businessmen.”

The ministry is also bound “to ensure efficiency of the working group for joint anti-corruption efforts of the business community and the authorities under the Presidium of the Presidential Anti-Corruption Council.”
