Govt to make proposals on national lobbying institution by Dec 1

The directive was given by the national anti-corruption plan signed by the president on Tuesday

GORKI, March 13 (Itar-Tass) — The Russian government will make proposals on the establishment of a national lobbying institution by December 1, Presidential Administration Head Sergei Ivanov said after the Tuesday meeting of the Anti-Corruption Council. He said the directive was given by the national anti-corruption plan signed by the president on Tuesday.

“There is a big difference between lobbying and corruption,” he said, citing as a positive example professional lobbying in the United States. Ivanov thinks that the national lobbying institution would help an improvement of the investment climate in the country.
